WhatsApp will get new photo and photo editing features soon
WhatsApp will get new photo and photo editing features soon. Meta’s popular chat app WhatsApp works on multiple functions at the same time. Some of them are minor but useful updates to the camera and photo editor, both of which are now available in the latest beta version of WhatsApp. As always, these features were identified by none other than WABetaInfo. WhatsApp finally separates its photo and video recording options into its camera section. This should allow you to record video without having to hold the button like before.
You can swipe to the Video option and tap once to start recording. Tap again to end recording, like most camera apps on Android phones. This will allow you to switch between the front and rear cameras while recording. WhatsApp usually rolls out new features for a select few users at first, but that’s not the case with this update. It’s already available to everyone in the latest beta version, which means it’s ready to roll out very soon.

More photo editing options
Also, WhatsApp plans to bring more text editing options to the photo editor. This feature was also discovered in the latest beta version. This will make it easier to edit text on images, videos, and GIFs, and you’ll also have more font options to choose from. For now, we have Damion, Exoz, Courier Prime, Morning Breeze, and Castiloga font options. However, these will be exclusive to the text editor, which means they won’t be available for status updates yet. Maybe WhatsApp will add this option in the future, but for now there is no news about it.

The new text editing options should be implemented in the stable version of WhatsApp with a future update.
