Car sales decrease by 20% over last year

According to the report of the Association of Automobile Manufacturers of Pakistan (PAMA), in April 2019 more than 17,000 passenger cars were sold and total sales for the first ten months of the current fiscal year amount to 177,400.

Comparing the figures month by month, sales fell by 14.1% as of March 2019, while annual sales fell by 20.7% compared to April 2018.

The highest number of sales in the various categories was seen by automobiles with an engine displacement of 1300CC and above, this category saw 8,019 units sold collectively.

Toyota Corolla

The Toyota Corolla registered the highest number of units sold in this category, with 5,256 units sold last month compared to 4,741 units in March.

Honda

Honda arrived in the second position with 2,310 units sold, both for the Civic and the City.

Suzuki

The Swift came in last with only 453 units sold compared to 386 in March

Regarding the category with units with an engine displacement of 1,000 CC, they saw that 4,832 units were sold during this period of time, while in the 800cc-1000cc (exclusive) more than 4,335 units were sold.
