It was the perfect day to be surprised by the endless beauty of the bridals. The brilliance and sheen of the sheesha work that the teacher Shehla Chatoor incorporated into her new collection, Aks, brought the audience to life in her second consecutive solo exhibition. People from all branches of the industry were dazzled by the wonder and charm that accompanied each piece that adorned the track.

It was a show that paid tribute to the craftsmanship of the old school, as well as a nod to the philosophy of the Shehla Chatoor brand of providing pieces impregnated with cultural charm. The show was in collaboration with Shehla’s position as fashion ambassador for L’Oreal Paris. The official jewelry partners of the show were Ali Javeri Jewelers, headed by sisters Hira and Shehrbano Javeri, who helped further accentuate the brightness of each outfit with their traditional jewelry pieces. Models such as Fouzia Aman and Sadaf Kanwal spectacle stoppers adorned Chottani jewelry that added the extra touch of the old world, traditional beauty.

Each bride oozed glamor through her embroidery, as well as swarovski crystal ornaments, gout, marori, zardozi and, of course, mirror work. The male clothing capsule was made for handsome men who choose to exude sophistication through their choice of sherwani and vest. Colors such as mint green, ivory, pink kashmiri tea and, of course, black with gold captivated hearts, and it was quite clear that the audience was fascinated with each piece. All in all, the night was beautiful and people were trying to catch their breath. Shehla, tonight was yours! Congratulations!
