The three-day wedding extravagance Pantene HUM Bridal Couture Week 2019 concluded with some spectacular, experimental and traditional bridal trends. The last day also witnessed high-end celebrities on the ramp as buffers for the best designers in the country. From contemporary cakes by Anaya By Kiran Chaudhry to traditional colors and silhouettes by Shamsha Hashwani and Umsha By Uzma Babar. Here are our best show options.
Taking inspiration from the Mughal Dynasty featuring beaming gemstones and the majestic confines of sandstone architecture- Shamsha Hashwani’s signature style truly shined bright in this collection. Filling her bridals with rich earthy tones of olive green, deep red and burnt orange with heavy gold and silver handwork. “Diwan-i-Khas” is made for the timeless bride- outfits that will last a lifetime and can be passed down for generations and it’s safe to say we couldn’t get enough.
Umsha by Uzma Babar
The festive collection “Khwab” is about Uzma Babar’s love for bridal couture- we witnessed models strutting the runway and telling an entire wedding story from nikkah to valima this collection had it all. With delicate details and striking color schemes, Umsha By Uzma Babar truly takes the cake when it comes to bold, beautiful silhouettes- angharka’s, anarkali’s, Farah I gharara’s and lehnga’s. This collection had something for every occasion.
Anaya by Kiran Chaudhry
Taken from a fairy tale, Anaya de Kiran Chaudhry presented her first collection of wedding clothes that fused vintage glamor with contemporary aesthetics to ensure that each bride feels like royalty on her special day. Inspired by French beads, Constellation and Japanese cut stones with soft pastel color palettes on delicate fabrics such as tulle and organza, her debut collection “La Vie En Rose” is about contemporary and bold cut lines to create that magical effect. With a delicate palette of colors, the designer’s collection filled her silhouettes with high necklaces, dropped sleeves and mermaid cuts, adding pearls, stones, and crystals to add that extra thrust. “La Vie en Rose” played all the right notes for today’s girlfriend.
