Careem and Unilever partner for a cost-effective logistics solution
Careem and Unilever Pakistan have established a strategic partnership in which Careem agreed to provide an application-based solution to Unilever for its logistics business. The digital solution provided by Careem will improve service levels and the cost to Unilever by implementing new business models through innovative technologies. The key destination areas that will focus on the solution include the delivery of surplus stocks that can be transported through Careem, the delivery of stocks to remote locations, as well as urgent deliveries.
Asad Haider Khan, general manager of Careem Pakistan, said on the occasion:
Careem wants to simplify and improve the lives of people in this region and provide safe, reliable and affordable charging solutions for consumers and businesses is an important part of that mission. We are pleased to partner with Unilever to provide an on-demand transport solution, as a valued customer for Careem for Business. “We look forward to a long-term relationship as both companies strive to create an efficient freight market.
The application will allow meeting the transport requirements of partner organizations, such as Unilever, through any available provider, saving time and costs. This will also create the opportunity for corporate entities to use suppliers that are not currently registered with them.
Insia Adnan, Head of Logistics and Distribution, Unilever, said;
A flexible and responsive supply chain is the key to winning in today’s market and a partnership with Careem gives us a competitive advantage in both areas.
In order to lead the digital disruption in the FMCG sector in Pakistan, both Careem and Unilever can take advantage of the opportunity that exists to provide the corporate sector with digital solutions for their logistics needs.
